The Women's Health Initiative

We all have special women in our lives: our mothers, wives and daughters. Our sisters, aunts and grandmothers. These amazing women are often the primary caretakers and health care decision-makers for their families. Yet, many women are so busy taking care of others that they do not receive the preventive and wellness care they need and deserve.

The Women’s Health Initiative at Swedish Covenant Hospital is designed to break down barriers to quality health care and provide every woman in our community with access to high-quality, convenient care. We want to empower women to make their own health a priority so that they may be active partners in their care, and that of their families.

Our #BreakingDownWalls social media campaign encourages deliberate action on the part of our entire community to bring awareness to, and help eliminate, the cultural, language and financial barriers that stand in the way of accessing quality health care.

The Women’s Health Initiative includes:

  • The Mayora Rosenberg Women’s Health Center is now open! Located on Swedish Covenant Hospital’s main campus, the center offers a full range of services and resources in one convenient location, including: breast health and mammography, bone health, mental health, nutrition, dermatology and cardiology.
  • A new Health Resource Center which offers women access to a broad spectrum of health information and resources to increase health literacy within our community.
  • An Access and Education Program, featuring a new Women’s Health Navigator, which assists women who have encountered significant financial, educational or cultural barriers as they navigate a complex health care system, creating a seamless, personalized health care experience.
